The EGM from Schunk is a magnetic gripper that ensures safety of the workpiece as it can hold it securely even in emergency stop situations. Its compact, minimal footprint design with a housing constructed of durable materials is integrated with permanent magnets that operate via electricity instead of being pneumatically actuated which makes this unit energy efficient and reliable.

It utilizes up to 8 poles with 3 pole sizes which makes it versatile to different types of applications and is capable of handling different workpieces alternately. It comes in three sizes: 32Q, 50Q, and 30L with a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 8 kg up to 147 kg.
